Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect

Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Swift Current, Herbert, Cabri, Kyle, Lucky Lake, Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Val Marie, Cypress Hills, Leader and Gull Lake.

Isolated thunderstorms are moving across extreme southern Saskatchewan just north of the US border. These thunderstorms are moving east-northeastward and may produce large hail, damaging winds and locally heavy downpours. These thunderstorms will persist into the early evening.

As well, a line of thunderstorms in Alberta is moving eastward into Southwestern Saskatchewan. Isolated thunderstorms along this line may produce damaging winds and large hail. These thunderstorms will persist into the evening.
