The first severe thunderstorm of the summer is rolling through southwest Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Dan Foulton says a strong storm cell emerged south of Gull Lake at around 4:00pm this afternoon, most likely large hail and damaging wind gusts. Reports to the newsroom indicate the storm has dropped pea-sized hail near Webb.

All warnings related to the storm ended at 5:00pm, but Foulton adds there is a chance for more severe weather tonight, as such, a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the southwest.
