Reports are coming in online from Shaunavon and area that road conditions are less than favourable.

Visibility is low with blowing snow and high winds, making driving conditions risky and dangerous.

Conditions are so bad, that even those who have tried to make their way out have been forced to turn back around, like Audrey Matyka-Turnbull who is a resident in Shaunavon.

"I was approximately 12 miles South of Shaunavon on the power line road trying to come to town for work," detailed Matyka-Turnbull. "My husband was in front of me, but I couldn't see him. I phoned and said I'm going to turn around, he said 'How do you turn around in this?'. I said, 'Well, like a 20-point turn', so I had to open the door to see the road, and I was only a quarter mile from home."

Travel is not recommended on Highway 37 south of Shaunavon, all the way to the border. Highway 18 is also not recommended to motorists from Frontier to Orkney and the Highway 4 junction.

Motorists travelling Highway 21 south from Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park are discouraged aswell from taking to the highway, up to the Highway 13 junction, where the non-recommendation is continued west all the way to Eastend.
