Old man winter came out of hiding over the weekend and hit Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park with a large dump of snow, affecting campers, cabin owners and businesses at the park.

"I know at our base camp, we had about 8 to 10 inches and that's in the trees," said Jori Kirk, President and CEO of Cypress Hills Eco Adventures. "It's pretty odd, but not that odd for Cypress Hills at this time of year."

Kirk says they got groups in before the snow hit on Saturday, but did have to cancel one tour on Monday, but is optimistic everything will get cleared up quickly.

"It rained quite hard in spots throughout the day as well, so the snow is already kind of slipping away, so we have groups booked in Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and also on the weekend," he added. "Even if the snow goes away a little tiny bit, we'll be back to normal, so it will be a lot of fun."

The crew at the Cypress Hills Eco Adventures had some fun despite the snow, taking out their helmet cams to film zipline rides in the white stuff.
