A business whose headquarters in the southwest has gone back-to-back years making an appearance on the list of Saskatchewan's top employers.

Innovation Credit Union has been selected to the 11th annual Saskatchewan's Top Employers. Joining the financial institution on 2017's list are 29 other businesses from five other centres around the province.

Out of the 30 businesses present, Innovation is the only southwest business that has been awarded a spot on the list.

In a release posted by Innovation Credit Union this week, they share that one of the key factors in being selected was its long-term investment in employees through tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions and for professional accreditation.

“We invest up to $1 million a year in the long-term professional development of our employees,” says Amanda Thoen, Talent Development Specialist with Innovation Credit Union. “That’s a very hefty budget and demonstrates our dedication to training.”

The competition also recognized Innovation’s role in the communities it serves. “I can’t say enough about our staff members and their contributions to our communities,” says Innovation Credit Union CEO Dan Johnson. “They are truly passionate about making our towns and cities a better place to live. It’s hard to find an organization or local event that our employees aren’t a part of. I’m incredibly proud of this team.”
