A trio of southwest baseball standouts will be playing for fifth place today at the 17U Baseball Canada Cup.

Swift Current's Ethan Murdoch and Brody Alexandre, along with Wymark's Jackson Fraser earned a big win last night to push them up into the fifth place game.

Murdoch went 1-for-3 with a clutch RBI, as Team Sask defeated Ontario 5-4 in Regina.

Alexandre, Murdoch, and Fraser compiled a 2-4 round robin record, and wrap up their tournament schedule today.

They take on Manitoba in a battle for fifth - first pitch is 2:30 from Optimist Park in Regina.

We'll have a recap of that game tomorrow morning on Swift Current Online.
