A two-vehicle motor collision near Rosetown yesterday afternoon has claimed the life of an Elrose man and sent two others to the hospital.

The collision about 10 kilometres from Sovereign involved a pair of pickup trucks on Highway 15 was first reported to the Rosetown RCMP on Sunday at 12:45 p.m.

Upon responding to the call, a 61-year-old male from Elrose was pronounced deceased at the scene.

While an adult male was transported to hospital by STARS with serious injuries and an adult female was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The RCMP said they didn't have any further updates on their condition.

An initial investigation by the RCMP has concluded that a westbound truck and an eastbound truck collided.

Highway 15 has since been re-opened after the RCMP finished conducting their investigation.

Rosetown RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist continue to investigate, however.
