It was another night of intense weather in the southwest, and throughout Saskatchewan.

Severe thunderstorm watches and warnings were issued, and remained in effect until after midnight. Environment Canada said severe thunderstorms developing in Montana were moving northward into the southwestand were capable of large hail, locally heavy downpours and strong, gusty winds.

Warnings were issued in the Leader, Maple Creek, Cypress Hills, Gull Lake and Eastend areas, after storms capable of strong wind gusts of more than 100km/h and nickel-sized hail were spotted on radar this evening. The warnings were issued later in the evening for Kyle, Lucky Lake, Beechy, Herbert, and Morse after storms showed up there.

Meanwhile, intense storms have been reported throughout the western half of the province, and the City of Saskatoon and its surrounding area was under a Tornado Warning issued just after 10:30pm. There were reports of funnel clouds near the Bridge City, but a tornado touchdown has not yet been confirmed.
