The American fugitive and his wife who were arrested at the Saskatchewan Landing on Friday will continue to be detained after a court hearing in Regina yesterday morning.

The Immigration and Refugee Board felt that Jeff and Kim Spady would not appear in court for further proceedings if they were released at this time.  The Board says that the Spadys will now have an Admissibility Hearing within the next seven days.

The Spadys were arrested on an Immigration Act Warrant, and are alleged to have entered the country illegally after fleeing Washington to escape Jeff's charges of child rape.
