A recent complaint of 40 dead cattle discovered in southwest Saskatchewan has sparked an investigation by the province's SPCA.

Although she couldn't provide any further comment at this time, Executive Director Frances Wach confirmed that the agency is looking into what happened to the animals.  They were found in a section of land located near Claydon, just west of Frontier.

Wach says, as it stands right now, carcasses have been brought in for testing and more information could be made available in the coming weeks.
