*UPDATE*

A truck that was reported stolen yesterday has been found by Swift Current City RCMP.

The 2003 Red GMC Sierra Pickup truck was initially stolen from 300 blocks of 10 Avenue Northwest in Swift Current was recovered last night after 7:00 pm.

When police found the truck the license plate on the truck had been switched and a number of parts had been removed from the truck.

Swift Current City RCMP is continuing to investigate the matter into who took the truck.

The Swift Current City RCMP are investigating after a truck was stolen and another was damaged in an attempted theft last night.

Sometime between 10 p.m. yesterday and 6 a.m. this morning a red 2003 GMC Sierra pickup truck was taken from the 300 block of 10 Avenue Northwest in Swift Current.

The trucks keys were left inside the vehicle and the doors were unlocked.

According to an RCMP release, the licence plate for the stolen truck is 910 IZN and it is believed that the truck had about a 1/4 of gas in it.

The attempted theft was on a red 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck which was parked in the 300 block of 9th Avenue Northwest.

The ignition was damaged during the attempted theft.
