12 health regions in Saskatchewan could hit the picket lines by Thursday.

The union representing the province's 2700 health care professionals has issued strike notice to the province's 12 health authorities.

The Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan announcing that strike action could take place as early as 1:00 Thursday afternoon.

Beth Vachon is the Cypress Health Region's Executive Director of Community Health Services, and says it's unpredictable what course of job action HSAS could take.

"It could be rotating or all out, so we don't really know what it could look like.  After the 28th, they may still be working but choose job action later so we really don't know when they will chose to take job action, if in fact they do."

HSAS issued strike notice at 10:00 yesterday morning.

The Cypress Health Region has a strike information line for residents to find out what services will be affected.  The number is 778-5128.
