A balanced budget was presented this afternoon at the Saskatchewan Legislature.

Finance Minister, Rod Gantefoer tabled the report earlier this afternoon, featuring over $10 billion in projected spending for the year ahead.

The education portion on property tax garnered a lot of the attention, as it was announced that it would be receiving a 14% drop in the year ahead, with an additional reduction planned for 2010.

Funding for a Children's Hospital in Saskatoon, predictable funding for municipalities through a percentage point of the PST, and another $1 billion infusement for provincial infrastructure also helped to highlight this year's budget.
