Susan Davies is Running for Gull Lake Mayor

Susan Davies is making a run for the Mayor's chair in Gull Lake, challenging incumbent Blake Campbell in tomorrow's Civic Election.

Davies was born and raised in Gull Lake and returned to the community five years ago, and feels it's time for a new voice in the local government.

Full Interview with Susan Davies"I am watching our small community kind of dwindle in regards to what business is here, the accessibility issues for transportation and the overall appearance of our town," said Davies. "Putting the word out that Gull Lake is open to new business. Whether that's through personal contacts with people or contacts with other municipal areas in regards to what they have and what they've done, and explore if there is potential to advertise Gull Lake a little more in that business sector."  

She added the town needs to continue moving forward on street repairs, and looking at attracting businesses to the community.

Davies has served as a board representative for Lethbridge Community College and was a manager of a housing authority in Alberta, and currently serves as a recreation co-ordinator for Gull Lake.

She is challenging incumbent mayor Blake Campbell. There are also seven candidates running for town council in that election.
