The Swift Current Curling Club's Kathy Hopfner will be in attendance at the 2020 Curl Sask Senior Provincial Championship later this month, after earning the very last available berth over the weekend.

Four more spots were up for grabs among five teams at the Senior Women's Q-Spiel #2 in Watrous.

Team Hopfner dropped their first two matches - a 7-1 concession to Team Inglis and a narrow 6-5 loss to Team Kopach.

A 7-2 victory over Team Swiderski put the Hopfner rink back on track, though they were forced into a must-win tie-breaker game after a 7-6 loss to Team Hodson.

The fourth berth came down to a rematch between Hopfner and Swiderski - one the southwest foursome won once again, this time 6-4.

The Hopfner rink will in at Saskatoon's Nutana Curling Club February 26 - March 1 for the 2020 Curl Sask Senior Women's and Men's Provincial Championship.
