The Eliminators were playing in the Moose Jaw Classic U15 Tournament, where they brought more than just a little hustle.

Coach Mike Haydon was impressed with his teams' abilities on and off the ice.

"Six wins total and four wins in a row that were back-to-back games on Sunday," praised Haydon. "Some real warriors we had here this weekend from these boys. That was an incredible effort."

Saturday started with a bang when they beat the Regina Buffalos 6-3, followed by handing the Saskatoon Red Wing Thrashers a loss of 6-4. They lost top position to the Saskatoon Mustangs on a point differential, putting them in second for their pool.

Sunday began a back-to-back four-game hot streak by trouncing the Moose Jaw Knights 11-2, who they were supposed to play a day earlier, but were delayed due to pandemic protocols. The Saskatoon Admirals didn't stand up to the Eliminators challenge, handing Swift Current the 6-0 win.

They faced the Martensville Marauders in the semi-final and were down 3-0 heading into the third period. Swift Current scored four in the final frame to win 4-3 including the game-winner with 4.3 seconds left.

In the final the Saskatoon Mustangs faired no better and came up short, falling to the Eliminators 8-5.
