The provincial government says Saskatchewan taxpayers will be seeing more tax savings in the new year.

Income tax brackets and personal tax credit amounts are being indexed to the national rate of inflation, and are increasing by 0.6 percent in 2010.

That translates to around $5 million in overall tax savings.

Indexing, which protects taxpayers from inflationary increases, saved Saskatchewan taxpayers $22 million in 2009.
