The cases for three men accused of kidnapping a Swift Current resident are scheduled to move forward in the judicial system.

Christopher Drover, Robert Ballingall and David Joss are accused of forcing a resident of Swift Current into a vehicle and driving to Manitoba.

The kidnapee escaped the next day and returned to Saskatchewan.

Initially, four men were arrested on July 24 in relation to the kidnapping, but Christopher Roskam, the fourth man, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of forcible confinement on August 1.

After a court appearance on Wednesday, Drover, Ballingall and Joss's preliminary hearing dates were tentatively scheduled for June 3, 4 and 5.

This matter will next be in court on January 16 with the purpose of confirming the dates for preliminary hearings.
