Great Western Railway in Shaunavon had such a great success with their Grain Fair last year that they have decided to make it an annual event.

The Grain Fair goes today from ten a.m. until four p.m. at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center in Shaunavon and brings together producers, elevator operators, grain dealers and buyers, and the Great Western Railway team to make sure that the many options for shipping are well known.

Andrew Glastetter is the General Manager of Great Western Railway. He says, 'I think one of the most important things is to make sure the producers have direct access to all the different shipping options that we do have in the area. We've seen a lot of changes in the marketing of grain over the last few years in Canada and one of the things is that it has created is that there are a lot more options out there."

Glastetter adds that they've had a twenty five per cent increase in booths from last year, with over 20 so far.

Snacks and refreshments will be available all day.
