A tornado warning that was issued for the Rural Municipalities of Swift Current and Saskatchewan Landing has now been lifted by Environment Canada. At this time, there has been no confirmation of a tornado touchdown with the storm.

The weather agency issued the warning after 7:00pm Saturday, saying that the storm located 20km northwest of Swift Current was capable of producing a tornado.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for all of southwest Saskatchewan, with additional severe storms possible tonight capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. The thunderstorm risk is expected to move out of the area overnight.
