Saskatchewan's Highway Hotline is not recommending travel on Highway number 4 from Swift Current to the Junction of Highway 343.

As of 1:45 p.m. they are reporting reduced visibility, slush, icy and slippery sections and swirling and drifting snow.

Wet conditions due to the positive temperatures can also be subject to freezing, increasing the risks to motorists.

They caution that even on sections where there are seasonal driving conditions motorists should remain alert as conditions can change rapidly.

Seasonal driving on other southwest highways means that although no specific problems exist, the potential for occasional slippery sections or drifting snow remains relevant.

Swift Current Online will post updates as they are available.
