Three Saskatchewan communities are still in shock after six teenagers were killed in a collision near Lloydminster this weekend.

The victims, ranging in age from 13 to 17, were in a car that collided with a tanker truck on a grid road south of the Border City early Saturday morning. They have been identified as Aimie Candace Elizabeth Hurley (14), Mackenzie Moen (14), and Naomi Salas-Schafer (13) of Lloydminster, Kristopher Tavener (17) and Jayden Boettcher (16) of Marshall, and Tarren Attfield (15) of Lashburn.

The driver of the tanker truck was not hurt in the crash.

RCMP say it appeared that none of the teens were wearing seatbelts when they were pulled from the wreckage, but add that doesn't necessarily mean they weren't wearing them at the time of the collision, as that information won't be known until autopsies are completed.

Meanwhile, another collision in Southwest Saskatchewan this weekend has killed one person and sent four to hospital. They were in a vehicle that rolled on Highway 1 westbound between Tompkins and Piapot early Saturday morning.

RCMP are now asking a driver hauling a trailer that may have seen the collision to come forward, saying that driver stopped at the scene of the crash but left before police arrived.
