A Criminal Code search warrant was executed by the Swift Current City RCMP of a property in Swift Current on Tuesday, June 27th, with the assistance of the Swift Current RCMP Police Dog Service.

Execution of the warrant at 225 5th Ave NE led to the arrest of the first of two individuals, 25-year old Randall Fehr, and the seizure of the following items:

  • Cocaine and marijuana with a combined street value of approximately $1,000,
  • a 7.62 calibre SKS rifle,
  • a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun,
  • ammunition,
  • a can of bear spray, and
  • an undisclosed amount of cash.

Fehr is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine;
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (2 counts);
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing Possession Unauthorized;
  • Unsafe Storage of Firearms;
  • Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (2 counts)

The 25-year old made his first appearance for the incident in Swift Current Provincial Court on Wednesday June 28, 2017.

The second individual, 21-year old Alfred Crick, was arrested at the same residence the next day - Wednesday, June 28th. Crick's arrest led to the seizure of 30 grams of methamphetamine, which have a street value of approximately $3,000. The 21-year old is now facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine;
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (2 counts);
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing Possession Unauthorized;
  • Unsafe Storage of Firearms;
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (2 counts)

Crick made his first appearance in Swift Current Provincial court on June 29, 2017.
