Some major changes to the governing body of our Health Region.

Joining the decision-making body is Louise Walker, a retired teacher who lives in Swift Current, and also Prelate Mayor, Jeannine Schlmaltz.

Board Chair, Dennis Lafreniere, says that along with the appointments, local pharmacist, Ron Heeg, has been named as the vice-chair.

Barry Elderkin of Maple Creek resigns effective August 7th.

That leaves two vacancies on the Board.

Terms are three years. It's members are responsible for planning, co-ordinating and evaluating the Health Services of the Region.
