Two southwest communities will be receiving funding for infrastructure projects.

This comes as the governments of Saskatchewan and Canada have announced over $50 million in joint funding for 55 infrastructure projects across Saskatchewan.

The projects are funded  under the new COVID-19 Resilience Stream of The Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

The Town of Gull Lake will receive approximately $253,000 between the federal and provincial contributions to go towards paving 2.1 kilometers of their outdoor walking and biking trail.

And the community of Ponteix is receiving approximately $202,000 to replace the existing campground and pool/spray park washrooms and change rooms at Notukeu Regional Park.

Funding recipients are responsible for any additional project costs.
