The southwest has made its presence felt on Team Sask's U16 Female roster for the 2019-20 season.

Three players playing in Swift Current, or in the case of one, soon to be playing in the southwest, are among the 20-player roster.

The lone southwest resident on the list is Gull Lake's Sadie Keller, who stuffed the stat sheet this past season in the South Sask Female Bantam A Hockey League.

Keller ('05) posted 26 goals and 45 points in 22 games in the regular season, adding four goals and six points in three games for the Swift Current Bantam Colts.

The second is Shelby Rublee ('04), a now-former rookie blueliner for the Diamond Energy Female Midget AAA Wildcats.

The Kindersley-born defenceman suited up in all 28 regular-season games for the Wildcats this past season, scoring once, adding two assists.

Lastly, 2005-born Kindersley defenceman Caitlyn Perlinger hasn't suited up for the Wildcats yet, but it's just a matter of time for the Team Sask U16 Female blueliner.

The Wildcats prospect played 30 games of Male Bantam AA this season, recording an assist with the West Central Wheat Kings.

The trio will be coached by Wildcats bench boss Terry Pavely, who, fresh off a good showing at the Canada Winter Games with the U18 Female squad, assumes that same head coach role with the U16 team.

Keller, Rublee, and Perlinger will get to play alongside one another in the southwest this fall, as Team Sask U16 will be among teams at Fairview West for the annual Summer Showcase, which runs September 5-8.
