The Saskatchewan Roughriders were dealt an embarrassing 43-10 loss to the Montreal Alouettes in front of a sold-out home crowd at Mosaic Stadium.

It was a given that turnovers were a factor in the loss, with the Rider offence coughing up the ball six times.  The Green and White only managed 150 yards of offense.

Quarterback Darian Durant got the hook in the second half, and said after the game that the offense gave the Alouettes the ball too many times in good field position and they capitalized.

Head Coach Ken Miller says turnovers and increased pressure on the defense allowed the Als to pull away in the second half, outscoring the Riders 29-2.

The Riders are still first in the West Division despite the loss, and host Edmonton next week.
