Vehicle Fire at Frontier Days Yesterday

Last night at the Kinetic Exhibition Park, a vehicle caught fire in the parking area at around 8:30 last night.

Swift Current's Fire Chief, Denis Pilon reports that the vehicle was a 2014 Chev Malibu.

A vehicle parked on one side of the burning vehicle sustained minimal damage, while a vehicle parked on the other side had severe damage.

Pilon reports that there was heavy smoke and problems accessing the blaze because of the congested parking on the first day of Frontier Days. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
