Premier Brad Wall is officially letting his name stand for the next provincial election.
The Swift Current MLA will be the Saskatchewan Party's first candidate to confirm for the election, expected in 2016, and will be formally nominated on March 20th. Wall has been the city's representative in the Legislature since 1999.
"It is an unqualified honour to represent the constituency of Swift Current and to carry the Saskatchewan Party banner into the next election," Wall said in a statement issued by the party. "It’s time to start getting ready for the next election and that means nominating the team of women and men who will be representing the Saskatchewan Party and working to earn the trust of Saskatchewan voters."
