Taking a look at upcoming action up and down the Swift Current Hockey World, the Swift Current Broncos are in action tonight in the WHL.

They'll be at home hosting the Edmonton Oil Kings in WHL regular-season action.

The 2-1-0-0 Broncos will be looking to rebound from a 5-1 rout against Red Deer on Tuesday while the Oil Kings, who suffered a similar fate against the Rebels last weekend, are looking to win 2 in a row after squeaking out a tightly contested win against Lethbridge on Wednesday.

Puck drop at the iPlex is at 7:00 p.m. and COVID protocols are in effect.

The Legionnaires will take over the iPlex on Saturday and Sunday for a pair of home games against the Saskatoon Blazers.

The 2-1-0-0 Legionnaires will be looking to get a little bit more scoring out of their lineup as they look to take two against an unbeaten Saskatoon squad that has no trouble finding the back of the net in their first five games of the season. Saskatoon heads into tomorrow's affair with a 5.8 gpg average for, while the defence has been keeping things locked down at less than 2 gpg against.

Game one at the iPlex is set for 7:45 p.m. with a Sunday afternoon rematch at 12:15 p.m.

The Wildcats meanwhile are action in Saskatoon.

They're in Bridge City to play in the Challenge Cup tournament.

The 15U Graphic Edge Wildcats took to the ice twice on Friday; facing off against the Olds Grizzlies and the Saskatoon Comet Impact. They'll face off against the Lloyd Steelers on Saturday morning.

The 18U AA Teed off the tournament at 8:00 a.m. against the Saskatoon Comet Legends. They'll play St. Albert Sparks at 5:00 pm before taking to the ice against Calgary tomorrow morning.

Depending on the results of round-robin play, both squads would begin their playoff rounds on Saturday afternoon.

And finally, two of the three young Bronco squads are in action this weekend.

The Pure Chem U15 AA boys are off on the road for a three-game set. They'll be looking to hand the Humboldt Broncos their first loss of the season tonight before continuing on to Nipawin where they'll take on the North East Wolfpack on Saturday Afternoon.

On Sunday they'll swing back south and tag up against the Warman Wildcats at the Legends Centre.

The U18 Abbey Resource Broncos meanwhile will be enjoying some home cooking when the Weyburn Wings come to town to face off n Fairview West for a pair of weekend games Saturday and Sunday.

The U13 Southwest Terminal Broncos have the weekend off. They'll see their next action on October 17 when the Moose Jaw Warriors skate into the Gull Lake arena.
