The 3rd Annual Wellness Challenge is in the home stretch with only a week to go.

The six week challenge allows individuals or teams to keep track of their daily health in the areas of nutrition, physical activity, water, and sleep to compete for prizes.

"It's been going great as far as I've heard," says InMotion Community Facilitator, Val Choo-Foo. "We have 34 teams participating this year, with just under 350 participants. We've had a few little twists this year, this year we have also subtracted points for unhealthy eating habits, so we'll have to wait and see what the feedback is on that, whether people have enjoyed that or not, but again it's been exciting to have all of these teams participating. We have a wide variety from children, family, friends, businesses, all different organizations have been participating this year, and I guess we'll be finding out the results very soon."

Choo-Foo says prizes for the top five individuals have been sponsored by local businesses.

"We have the Training Zone and BodyFit, also Zumba and we have Glass Slipper Spa and yoga, and then the team with the highest average of points will be a value of $250 and that will go towards that team to continue to work on physical activity, so that could be equipment, or say it was a workplace and they may want to bring in a instructor over noon hours, something to continue the wellness and physical activity for the team that won."

Choo-Foo adds so far, Banilla Beans is in the lead with 220 points according to mid-results, but those numbers can change as the competition comes to a close on March 1st.
