The Western Canada Summer Games all wrapped up, and with that brings some interesting numbers to share.

No ticket sale or financial numbers will be available, but some ‘unofficial’ stats can be shared.

The Games was able to hit its goal of 2,000 volunteers as they had 1,770 registered volunteers plus another 300 for decommissioning, set up, among other things. Twenty-five thousand hours were volunteered over the ten days.

The Games also set a record as on August 15 the box offices sold 675 day passes in one day, which was the record number for the ten days of the Games

A total of 1,301 athletes, 192 coaches and 81 managers were at the Games, adding up to 1,574 athletes and team officials.

The athletes have presented 1,815 medals, and 28,600 meals were served to athletes and team officials.

502 bus trips were made over the ten days of the Games, and Games can estimate that transport moved 15,060 athletes

There were approximately three million page views on the WCSG website during competition days.
