The Swift Current Female AAA Midget Diamond Energy Wildcats didn't start 2012 on a winning note. They dropped two straight games to the first place Saskatoon Stars last weekend, but felt good about the way they played.

"There were moments in the game where we really took control," said Wildcats Coach Terry Pavely. "We were physically dominate at times. We won a lot of the scrums."

The Wildcats face another tough challenge against the second place Notre Dame Hounds tonight.

"They move the puck exceptionally well," Pavely said. "It's really hard to get pressure on them because their D move the puck so well."

"They really have one line that is dominant up front, so we're going to have to be aware of that line."

Swift Currents got off to a slow start this season before going 3-3 in December. January has come in like a lion with action against the Stars, the Hounds and upcomming games with third place Weyburn.

The puck drops at 8pm for tonight's game against the Hounds at Fairview West Arena.
