Old Man Winter has returned to southwest Saskatchewan after taking a few days off.

A winter storm watch has been issued for southwest Saskatchewan, and much of the southern half of the province.  Up to 15 centimetres of snow could fall over the next 24 hours, with a chance of extreme weather in these regions.

The snowfall will ease by late Wednesday afternoon as the storm weakens and moves east into Manitoba.

Highways in southwest Saskatchewan are also reporting winter driving conditions with snow cover and snow drifts.  Reduced speed and caution are advised.
