The fastest game on two feet will return to S3 Arenas with the Swift Current Wolverines hosting two teams in exhibition action on Saturday.

The Wolverines made it to the PGLL final last season, falling 12-11 to the Prince Albert Predators in overtime. With the new regular season starting next weekend, the team has been practicing since late-February at the Stockade Building before getting into S3 West this week.

"We have a big season this year," said Riley Pribyl, a former player and the team's new vice president. "It's a 12-game season, which is a little longer than normal, and we have some new teams joining. I think all the boys, and everyone involved are pretty excited to get going."

The Wolverines will play games against the Moose Jaw Mustangs and the Southern Alberta Chaos, which features players from Lethbridge, Taber and Brooks. Action starts at 10:30 a.m. with the Wolverines taking on the Mustangs, and then Moose Jaw will face the Chaos at 3:00 p.m. before taking on the Wolverines in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. Also, U7 and U9 players will be taking part in training sessions with the Wolverines between games.

Admission is free for all three games and there will be a concession and 50/50 draw, as well as a cash bar for the evening game.

The Wolverines regular season opener will be against Regina on Saturday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m. from S3 Arenas.
