Swift Current Municipal RCMP received a 911 call at approximately 6:27 a.m. this morning of a semi-truck that had crashed through the overpass guard rail on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The incident took place east of Swift Current, in the westbound lanes coming into the city.

Police attended the scene, and no one was injured as a result of the collision.

The semi had significant damage to it and the trailer of the semi was hanging over the north side of the bridge.

The exact cause of the collision is being investigated.

A passing motorist in a white Ford F150 hit some of the debris caused by the incident, damaging his vehicle as well.

The driver of the Ford was also not injured in the collision. Both the truck and semi were towed from the scene.
