The 16-year-old youth who was charged in connection with running into the walking bridge by the Riverside Park last year has been sentenced.

     The youth was charged after an incident that happened on October 27th at around 10:00pm where a 1986 Chrysler Laser crashed through the guard rail of the walking bridge at Riverside Park and ended up in the Swift Current Creek.

     He pled guilty to charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and driving over .08.

     The youth was sentenced to one-year probation with conditions to obstain from alcohol and attend school.  He is also subject to a one-year driving prohibition.
