A strong April performance at the AHL level by a former Swift Current Bronco has landed him an accolade.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner was named CCM/AHL Goaltender of the Month on Monday after going 7-2 last month with the Bakersfield Condors.

The Edmonton, Alberta product also posted a 1.93 goals-against-average and a sparkling .926 save percentage in nine games played.

The 22-year-old will receive an etched crystal award from CCM as part of the monthly honour.

Earlier this season, the 2017 third-round pick made his NHL debut on January 31, making 33 saves and backstopping the Edmonton Oilers to an 8-5 win over the Ottawa Senators.

The 6-foot-4 netminder suited up with the Broncos in 51 games in the 2017-18 season, 26 of those games were logged in the WHL playoffs en route to the Ed Chynoweth Cup.
