A Broncos' blue-liner will be representing Swift Current at a prospects game in the new year.

Artyom Minulin is among 15 WHL players headed to the Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, scheduled for January 30th, 2017 in Quebec City.

With hockey icon Don Cherry as his bench boss, the Russian-born Minulin will be fulfilling many a Canadian's childhood dream in the process, as Team Cherry is facing off against Bobby Orr's squad in the late-January game.

The prospect game-nod has been nothing short of deserving for the 18-year old, who has been red-hot so far this season. Minulin has racked up 26 points (6 goals, 20 assists) while playing in all 32 games for the Broncos.

With focus still on 2016, Minulin and the Broncos hope to emerge with two points in Cranbrook tonight as Swift Current takes on the Kootenay Ice, with a home-and-home against the Prince Albert Raiders to follow.
