On his 21st birthday Brad Hoban got the ball rolling last night with his 12th of the season, eight minutes into the game, and the Broncos notched an important victory 3-1 over the Victoria Royals.

Victoria evened the score four minutes into the second frame but the broncos got goals from Taylor Vause, in the second, and Reese Scarlett, in the third, to secure the win .

After the game Scarlett said their play was not pretty but it got the job done.

“They just tried to play a nice steady road game and I think we kind of came up a little sluggish. The entire game was a little sloppy on both parts but, you know, we can't complain with two points.”

Jon Groenheyde made 38 saves and earned the first star of the game.

The Broncos are now only 6 points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
