The Swift Current Broncos lost their first game of the 2019 preseason last night at home.

Veterans Connor Horning and Ethan O'Rourke found the back of the net, but the Broncos fell 3-2 in a shootout to the Regina Pats.

In a strong goaltending performance, starter Isaac Poulter and rookie Reid Dyck split time in the crease.

Poulter stopped all 21 shots he faced in 30 minutes. In the remaining 30 minutes and overtime, Dyck stopped 18 of 20 shots.

Swift is now 3-0-0-1. They next take on Lethbridge on September 13.
