The Swift Current Broncos have locked up one of their 2016 WHL Bantam Draft picks.

The team announced on Monday they had signed 15-year old defenceman Connor Horning to a Standard Player Agreement.

Horning was selected by the Broncos in the third round (61st overall) in the 2016 draft.

The Kelowna, BC product played 22 games with the Pursuit of Excellence 18U Prep squad of the NAPHL last season, totalling one goal and six assists.

Horning later went on to add one assist in four playoff games, before joining the West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL for four games.

Horning will turn 16 in May.
