A pair of Pouliot brothers will be posted on the Broncos' blueline this coming season.

Joining overage defenceman Ryan Pouliot, who was claimed off waivers from the Kootenay Ice is his 18-year-old brother Sam, after the Broncos acquired him from the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday.

The younger Pouliot is headed to Swift Current in exchange for a conditional tenth-round draft pick in the 2020 whl bantam draft.

Splitting time between the WHL and BCHL, Pouliot had a goal in 16 games with the Rebels, and three assists in 16 games with the Powell River Kings.

Pouliot will have to wait until September 14 to make his preseason debut with the Broncos, when they head to Lethbridge to face the Hurricanes.

The Broncos also announced they released forwards Greyson Stewart and Mitchell Vaillant. This brings the preseason roster to include 16 forwards and nine defencemen.
