Max Domi scored a hat trick as Broncos defenceman Dillon Heatherington and Team Canada beat Switzerland 6-0 on Tuesday in their final World Junior Hockey Championship tune up game.

Goal scorers included Brayden Point of the Moose Jaw Warriors and Jake Virtanen of the Calgary Hitmen.

Zachary Fucale only had to make 14 saves in the shutout.

Heatherington and Team Canada will open the tournament itself in the annual Boxing Day game.

This year they play Slovakia in Montreal.

The Broncos are off until Saturday when they host the Regina Pats in the first of a weekend home and home series.

Swift Current is busy in their return from the holiday break as they play four games in five nights.
