Cody Eakin has found a home in the NHL, and to top it off, he'll be teammates with Alex Ovechkin.

     The Broncos' Forward was selected 85th overall by the Washington Capitals in day two of the NHL Entry Draft in Montreal.  He is the first and only Bronco to be selected at this year's draft.

     The draft started last night with the New York Islanders ending the speculation and taking London Knights Forward John Tavares first overall.  He was followed by Swedish Defenceman Victor Hedman, who was picked by Tampa Bay.  The Colorado Avalanche snagged Brampton Centre Matt Duchene with the third pick.

     Vancouver Giants Forward Evander Kane went 4th overall to the Atlanta Thrashers.  He was the first of five WHLers to go in the first round.  Also picked were Brandon's Brayden Schenn, who goes to the LA Kings 5th overall.  Fellow Wheat King Scott Glennie was picked by Dallas 8th overall; Jared Cowan of the Spokane Chiefs is off to the Senators with the 9th overall pick; and Carter Ashton of the Lethbridge Hurricanes was selected by Tampa 29th overall.
