Daniel Dale celebrates one of his two goals on Saturday (photo by Darwin Knelsen)

A weekend to remember for Broncos tough guy Daniel Dale.

He scored his first two career goals, one of them the winner, as part of the Broncos 5-4 comeback victory over Brandon on Saturday.

"Oh my god," Dale said. "I was going crazy I don't have a voice anymore I was screaming so loud."

Dale scored his first on a coast-to-coast rush to cut the deficit to two. He found a loose puck in the crease to lift the Broncos ahead 5-4.

"We have to win one-on-one battles," Dale said. "That's what we weren't doing in the beginning."

Dale has five points in his last five games. Does that mean the gritty player is branching out and finding an offensive side to his game?

"I would love to," Dale said. "I'm not going out there every shift just to cycle the puck and fight some guy. Obviously that's a big part of my game, but any way I can contribute to the team I'm gonna try."

It was also a huge game on Saturday for former first round bantam draft pick Chrisitan Magnus. When Adam Lowry received a game misconduct, Magnus got moved up to the second line with Graham Black and Ryon Moser. He responded with three points to help inspire the comeback.

"I just felt like I had to step up," Magnus said. "It was just one of those things where everything (was) clicking."

Black might be the hottest Bronco right now. He has ten points in eight November games and six in his last three contests. That scoring from the second line has helped the Broncos to their first winning streak of the season. They've won three straight heading into their bi-annual US Division road swing.

The Broncos will be in Spokane on Wednesday. You can hear the action live on The Eagle 94.1 FM starting with our pre-game show at 8:30pm.
