Scoring help is on the way for the Swift Current Broncos.

After being held to two goals in two games over the weekend, Swift Current is getting a boost thanks to the return of 40-goal-man Jake DeBrusk from Boston's NHL camp.

The Bruins picked DeBrusk 14th overall in the most recent NHL draft and kept him long enough to play two pre-season games.

He is now on his way back to Swift Current to resume his WHL career and assume a leadership role with the Broncos.

The two games he missed over the weekend were the first he has missed in his time with the Broncos so far.

DeBrusk scored 42 goals and had 39 assists last season as an 18-year-old.

He'll again be one of the team's primary offensive weapons after the graduation of veterans like Colby Cave and Coda Gordon.

In addition to being drafted by the Bruins this summer, DeBrusk was also invited by Hockey Canada to participate in their summer evaluation camp for the World Junior Hockey Championship team.

Swift Current is off until Friday when they visit Red Deer.
