Great Plains College hosted Prairie Athletic Conference provincial basketball championships Friday and Saturday in Swift Current. The host SunDogs lost their men’s opener 111-59 to the Millar Edge on Friday, and fell 80-20 to the Bethany Eagles on Saturday. Daniel Planckaert had 24 points to lead the SunDogs on Friday while Dallas Paprosky led the SunDogs with six points on Saturday.
Millar claimed both provincial titles, beating First Nations University of Canada 77-61 in the women’s championship game and the Kelsey Amaruks 56-53 in the men’s championship game.
