The Swift Current Broncos got a major boost ahead of the start of their regular season this weekend.

Forward Glenn Gawdin and goaltender Landon Bow have returned from NHL camp in time to make the trip to Brandon on Friday.

Gawdin was in camp with the St. Louis Blues who picked him in the 5th round of the most recent NHL draft.

He put up 54 points in 72 games last season more than doubling his rookie production.

They will need even more from Gawdin this season as he takes a featured role on the club thanks to the departure of other top six fowards like Colby Cave, Coda Gordon, Carter Rigby and Jay Merkley.

Bow was invited to Anaheim's camp after they liked what they saw from him in their rookie tournament.

In his first full season as a starter Bow 31-27-1-4 with a 3.14 goals against average and 0.911 save percentage.

He was named WHL goalie of the month and CHL goalie of the week at different times throughout the season.

The Broncos also sent 16-year-old forward Tanner Mole back home yesterday.

Their 5th round draft pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, Mole had a goal in four pre-season games.

He remains Broncos property and at 16-years-old will likely spend the season in Midget AAA.

Swift Current visits the Wheat Kings on Friday before hosting Brandon on Saturday.
