After a dominant 6-man football regular season, the Gull Lake Lions had a quick exit in SHSAA 1A Provincials.
The Lions hosted the Kerrobert Rebels Saturday afternoon at Gerry Elmslie Field in a Provincial quarterfinal, after going 5-1 in conference play, and winning their league playoff game 81-30 over Central Butte the previous weekend.
The Rebels proved too much for the host Lions to handle, however, as the visitors went on to a 58-22 win.
On what was a beautiful day for playoff football in Gull Lake, the Lions weren't able to duplicate an offensive juggernaut that churned out an average of 61 points per game in 2017.
